Welcome Back!
Submitted by M.Jaynes on Mon, 09/06/2010 - 22:14Labor Day - Tonight we had a successful return from our summer break. Business was caught up to date and we discussed some future plans including tentative degree work and even more new petitions. We are doing great at attracting new members; I hope we can say it's because our current members provide such a positive influence to our community, family, and friends.
We look forward to Grove City's annual 'Arts In The Alley' parade in which we will again proudly display our 'square and compass' inspired float. See us Sept. 18th at 9:30 along Broadway between Southwest Blvd. and Park St.
Secretary McNicol had some very kind words regarding this ever-evolving website which are greatly appreciated by the 'webmaster'. Thanks for all comments and suggestions. Hopefully it will continue to be a successful communication tool.
Dues notices have been sent and should be returned to Bro. McNicol no later than Nov. 1st, 2010.
Specials
Submitted by M.Jaynes on Mon, 06/21/2010 - 21:15W.M. Mikel Goldhardt has scheduled three Specials to bring our degree work to a close before going dark in July & August. Each begins at 7:00pm. Newly raised members from the One Day Class are encouraged to use these opportunities for viewing the degrees again, as each time you will take in more details.
Thursday, June 24: Entered Apprentice
Monday, June 28: Master Mason
Tuesday, June 29: Fellowcraft
Breakfast Notice
Submitted by M.Jaynes on Sat, 06/05/2010 - 10:52In the past when our lodge goes dark in July and August (closes for summer) we have also discontinued the breakfast for those months. This year, due to popular demand and the support of our volunteers, we will continue the breakfast as normal on July 3rd and August 7.
Thanks to all of our guests for your participation as this continues to grow every month. We must be doing something right, so we are very proud of our breakfasts and enjoy hearing the positive feedback! (any comments or suggestions you have for improvement are also encouraged)
The Ohio Mason
Submitted by M.Jaynes on Tue, 05/25/2010 - 07:30Members who read the latest edition of 'The Ohio Mason' should know that the printed version will be no more. This is completely beyond our control, as the owner has chosen to go with an electronic only version, for quite understandable reasons.
However understanding the reasons does not help us to communicate effectively with our membership. Several members are actively researching and pursuing what ever options we can to keep some type of printed newletter coming to those who desire one. We hope to have something together in the next month or so. I will update the website as we get closer to a workable solution.
Success!
Submitted by M.Jaynes on Sat, 05/01/2010 - 14:55Congratulations to all new Brothers from all the lodges represented in todays's One Day Class!
We told you it would be a long day, and that there would be too much to take in for one day. Well, now you've learned to trust us! ;) But, everything went very well and on schedule with no real glitches to speak of. All degree work was in fine form.
Candidates are now strongly encouraged to go back to your lodges, ask questions without embarrasment, participate whenever possible, and watch the degrees as newer brothers come in. Only then will you understand and appreciate what happened today!
Thanks to everyone - candidates, mentors, Distinguished Guests, officers, PM's, the MM Craft team, cooks, helpers, and ladies who helped make this day a great introduction to our Fraternity.
